In e24cloud you can choose from multiple networking interface types, allowing you to customize the way your instances are connected to Internet and between each other.
When creating an instance, you need to choose one of two networking models, that define how your Internet connectivity will work:
- Legacy networking - an older, simple method, that requires you to explicitly configure Internet address inside guest operating system
- Virtual DC - a newer, recommended method, that enables advanced networking features
Additionaly, two private connectivity methods are provided for internal communication:
- Private VXLAN - private virtual Ethernet network, for communication between instances
- Private VLAN - private physical Ethernet network, for communication between instances and physical hardware
